FINAL REFLECTION CITIZEN'S ENERGY FUNDRASIER 11/20/09

My goal was to be able to help families who had difficulties affording oil in the winter and when I found a organisation like Joe Kennedy's which is run completely off of donations I decided wanted to get my advisory together and save up as much money as possible by selling food. MY initiation goal was a 100$ before Jan. but we beat that goal within two weeks and then we made the goal 500$ before the end of the year but do to other organizations we'd like to donate to we decided to stop before Thanksgiving. So after weeks of selling donuts, candy, brownies, cookies and other good we raised around 250$ which was half my goal but still something to show and be proud of. We will send in this money which will be very rewarding for me and the advisory to know how great it feels to help out families indeed from freezing since this is such a big issue in the United States which seems it will be worse this year with domestic and foreign issues. It benefits everyone in different ways for us collecting the money and donating it, it feels great. For Citizen's Energy they are keeping the program going. Learning outcome goal 1 applies and was achieved for this because I learned new skills for collecting money I got over my shyness to go up to people and be able to persuade strangers to buy food items for a good cause. I also achieved learning outcome goal 6 because I engaged in a activity that was of global importance. Of course freezing is a global issue I will my advisory took it as local and national importance to help out people across America during the winter season.

FINAL REFLECTION STURGIS TURKEY PROGRAM 11/20/09

My goal was to be able to get everything possible well all the fixings necessary for a family who is less fortune then most to be able to have a good thanksgiving. I feel really good about doing this, I had to interact with my whole advisory to be able to collect money from them which was a hard task for me to do being a nice person and when some didn't cooperate right away it was tough to get tough on them. But i was able to overcome them by talking to to people in my advisory and getting them to bring in money for me. I think this activity benefited everyone because we all got to help people with the advisory not having to do to to much and I got to get everything for a family and it obviously benefits a family who now gets to have a nice delicious Thanksgiving. And I ultimately learned from the activity that something like this can be done and a very rewarding process to help out people in a world such as what we live in. Also the one thing I wish I could get from this activity is seeing the family and the looks on their faces when they see the fixings my advisory and I got for their Thanksgiving this year. I achieved learning outcome goal 2 because its for undertaking new challenges which this definitely was for this one family it was on me they depended on me for their Thanksgiving i felt it depended on me to collect the money to enforce the idea and have the advisory bring in money for me. Which also goes into learning outcome goal 3 because that's for plan and initiate activities though i didn't fully plan this project I decided to under take this plan for a activity once i heard about it from school and decided to carry it out for the advisory.

Creative Writing Club 11/12/09

We (the group) began the process of dissecting my poem "In her honor" in preparation for the December issue of the Sturgian. It's a hard process for one i had to have it critique in a room a essential full of strangers who had no I idea why I wrote the poem. But I hope to edit it and get it ready for the submission deadline of Dec 1st.

Citizen'sEnergy Fundraiser 11/13

Today I sold about 10 dollars of brownies and we counted how much money we've raised since beginning the fundraiser process back in September and it was a astonishing 200.82$ we have about two weeks left to get to 375$ I realize this is a stretched goal that it will be very hard to make a 175$ in two weeks but I hope to get as close as possible to that goal.
